Pyramid of the Moon in Visoko

The feminine counterpart and energetic balance

Overview

The Moon Pyramid is the second largest structure in the Bosnian pyramid complex and is located in close proximity to the Sun Pyramid. While the Sun Pyramid represents the masculine, active force, the Moon Pyramid is perceived as its feminine counterpart – the bearer of receptive, nourishing and intuitive energies.

“The feminine counterpart – bearer of receptive, nurturing and intuitive energies.”

Structure & terraces

The Pyramid of the Moon is built up of several plateaus or “terraces” that are clearly visible in the landscape. The step-like formations consist of sandstone and clay layers laid in alternating patterns, as if they were deliberately constructed for both stability and energetic conduction. Some terraces form perfect geometric surfaces, and analysis points to techniques that suggest human intervention.

“Several plateaus or 'terraces' clearly visible in the landscape.”

Orientation & shape

The orientation of the pyramid is not quite as precise as that of the Pyramid of the Sun, which is interpreted by some as a deliberate asymmetry – a manifestation of the organic, cyclical and intuitive rather than the linear and technical.

“Deliberate asymmetry – the organic, cyclical and intuitive.”

Energy & measurements

Energetically, the Moon Pyramid exudes a different character than the Sun Pyramid: more enveloping, horizontal and balancing. Bovis measurements at and around the Moon Pyramid reach 30,000–35,000 units – still far above normal natural values – but are experienced as softer and more introverted by visitors.

“Bovis measurements of 30,000–35,000 units.”

Visitor experiences

Many women, healers and spiritual workers experience powerful intuitive insights, emotional cleansing and connection to cyclical, feminine wisdom when staying on or near the Moon Pyramid. It is seen as a place of inner integration and contact with a deeper rhythm.

“Strong intuitive insights and inner integration.”

Role in the larger network

In the bigger picture, the Moon Pyramid is seen as part of a harmonious energy network, where the Sun Pyramid, the Moon Pyramid, the Dragon Pyramid, the Vratnica Hill and the Ravne Tunnels are part of a geometric and functional interaction – perhaps built to support both the stability of the earth and human evolution.

“A harmonious energy network in geometric and functional interaction.”
